Benefit Mascara

I am constantly searching for the “perfect” mascara and have tried almost every drugstore, department store, and beauty store mascara on the market. It has been a challenge to find one that meets all of my criteria but I have never given up the search. My lashes used to be even in length and lush, but age has made them somewhat inconsistent – sparser and longer in some areas and stubbier in others.

While many women have braved eyelash extensions, I hesitate because of the potential for destruction to my own lashes and the expensive and labor intensive upkeep. The average lash “fill” is $ 50.00 per application and my research has proven that this can pull out your own lashes and leave them stubby whenever the extensions are discontinued.

They’re Real! mascara by Benefit, which I purchased at Ulta for $ 23.00 and is also available at Sephora, finally fulfilled my expectations. At a median price point; neither the most or the least expensive, this mascara delivers! The wand is interesting too because it seems to coat itself with just the right amount of product on every pull; unlike so many mascaras that I have to tissue off prior to application to avoid excess product.

This mascara also has a “spiked ball” tip which allows it to grab the tiniest lash and allows for excellent application in a vertical position. The rest of the wand is staggered and applies very evenly. It is the perfect black – dark enough for definition yet light enough not to appear too harsh.

The end result is eyelashes that are non-clumply, shiny, and smooth – delivered by a product that lasts all day long without flaking. Finally: an end to my quest for the perfect mascara! This product is highly “beneficial” to my pursuit for a reasonably priced and flattering product to accentuate one of the first things that others notice about all of us – OUR EYES!
