Revlon Illumiance Creme Eye Shadows

Have you tried Revlon’s beauty on a budget creme eyeshadows Illumiance?  When they first came out I purchased a nude palette that I believe was called Not Just Nudes, which is still available today.  I love the creamy texture and the ability to apply the colors with your fingers or a synthetic brush.

Recently Revlon contacted me and asked if I wanted to try a few of their products and I know many of you are big fans of drugstore beauty, and knowing that Revlon has some amazing quality pieces, I agreed.   They sent me the Illumiance palette in Endless Summer (shown above and below), a nail polish in Blue Lagoon and their new mascara – Grow Luscious Plumping mascara.

Revlon Illumiance Creme Eye Shadows - Endless Summer

I was a bit hesitant about the color palette sent to me.   It seemed quite vibrant – orange!  light blue!, but was willing to give it a try.  It’s makeup, right?  It washes off.  But, I find myself having more fun with this than anticipated.  A couple of different ways that I’ve used this palette is first applying the cream shade all over, then putting the blue on the lid.   Yes, me wearing blue…but then I tapped the orange shade on top of that and the two shades blended together come out beautifully!   Almost a warm, peachy glow.   Then in the crease I tapped the olive green shade.

Another way I’ve worn this is by again using the cream shade first all over, then applying the olive green shade on the lid and then tapping the orange shade on top of that.   It really brings out the gold in both of these colors and creates a very pretty golden/olive green glow on my lids.   The formula stays put too.  In fact, it doesn’t come off with washing with my face cleanser – which usually loosens up the makeup. I had to instead use my liquid eye makeup remover to get it to budge.

The Blue Lagoon nail polish – I may have to wait till summer for that one.   Its blue shade nearly matches the blue eye shadow perfectly.  I can visualize that on my toes next summer.  In the meantime, there are a lot of pretty shades of nail colors and some classic reds for the holidays.

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

I haven’t tried a Revlon mascara in a long time.  I like several beauty on a budget mascaras, but for some reason or other have been drawn to other brands.   So when they sent me this, I was anxious to try.   At first I thought the Grow Luscious Plumping wasn’t a mascara, but one of those liquid lash growers. But the Grow Luscious Plumping is a mascara that is more about conditioning the lashes to help them grow stronger, thus lasting longer and getting them to instantly “grow” by the plumping formula.

revlon Mascara

Last week I had showed you a look I had created on my eyes (not Revlon) and with that I did use the Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping mascara.   The brush is long – very long – but not bulky.  It gives my lashes a lot of volume and length and I don’t have any eye irritations or flaking when I use it.  I actually like this quite a bit!   I like how the brush grabs all the lashes, and I only used one or two coats on this photo.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the Revlon products I’ve tried.   When I was at Target I also noticed that they have a Target-only limited edition Revlon CustomEyes palette that looked so pretty for the holidays.  It had taupes, golds, a black shade for liner and a little bit of shimmer.  An excellent choice for holiday beauty on a budget!
