Many of us put a lot of effort into straightening our hair, but one thing that we always want to be perfectly curled are our eyelashes. Curling your lashes opens up your eyes and makes them appear wider and more youthful. Some days I wake up with a droopy-eyed or puffy look from either lack of sleep, (frequently)  or too much sleep, (rarely), and this instantly makes me appear better rested.

I have tested virtually every eyelash curler on the market and can say that in my opinion, Shu Uemura Art of Beauty’s version is the best!

It leaves your lash curled in the perfect “crescent” curve, rather than the “checkmark” that some other lash curlers achieve. There is something about the design of this lash curler that makes it effective for use on all shapes of eyes.

The method that I use is to turn my blow dryer to the lowest setting and heat up the curler and then apply to each eye for about ten seconds each. I use a lash primer prior to curling my lashes which makes the shape last the day without the need to crimp again.

Shu Uemura sells this on their website for $ 20.00, making it a reasonably affordable device. They recently upgraded the pad to a silicone pad which doesn’t pinch whenever you use it and doesn’t slip whenever you are holding it; which protects your eyelashes from being pulled.

This eyelash curler comes with one refill pad and I am sure that the results can vary from user to user as to when you need to replace the pad. I get at least six months use from each pad, making it a good investment for me. I also clean my Shu Uemura curler periodically with makeup remover to sanitize and keep it free from any product buildup.
