Previously I shared with you the Nuance Salma Hayek lip products and now I want to show you the Eye Quad eye shadows in Neutral 080. Like the lip quad, the eye shadow quad comes in this little “pod” shaped compact.  There are four shadows inside – peel back each “leaf” to reveal another shade and in the center is a sponge applicator.

There are two sets, one is the Neutral palette shown above and a Smokey palette.  The Neutral palette shades are really quite gorgeous and very wearable shades, more interesting than a typical brown neutral palette.  All the shadows in the Neutral palette are shimmery, but a nice wearable shimmer. The lightest shade is a soft champagne shade, then there is a soft taupe shade and a slightly green/gold taupe shade and the darkest shade is a soft coppery shade.  I love this palette!

Unlike the “pod” for lips, I don’t mind the pod for eye shadows – you’re not likely to have to toss them in a bag – you’ll keep these at home where you apply them. The sponge is a soft, yet sturdy sponge and holds product well.  However, I always use my brushes to apply shadows, like I did below.

I used all 4 shadows on my eyes – the lightest on the inner corner, the taupe shade all over the lid, the green-golden taupe shade in the crease and the coppery shade on the outer corner.   The quality of these shadows is very comparable to any expensive department store brand and yet it’s only $8.99!  Overall, I am very impressed with all the Nuance Salma Hayek beauty products.
