Everyone seems to be complaining this year of dry skin. It’s been quite horrible! Even my typically oily skin has become dry and parched and with sleepless nights, the extreme cold temps and well, the fact that I’m getting older, my eye area seems to be particularly dry.

Laura Mercier Eyedration

Laura Mercier Eyedration to the rescue. It’s a new eye cream that’s main focus is hydration around the eye area and the ingredients help to maintain that moisture so it also help in keeping the eye area less lined. Something that my eyes definitely have been in need of.  It contains:

  • Mango Butter and essential fatty acids – enhance the lipid barrier reducing transepidermal water loss thus increasing skin moisturization
  • Panthenol – derived from vitamin B5, also known as Pantothenic Acid. In Mega Eyedration it acts as a skin conditioner and humectant which helps give the skin a soft and smooth appearance
  • Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract – natural, plant derived key ingredient that provides a high level of hydration in the outer layers of the skin
  • Liposome – delivery system with Vitamins A, C and E have a high affinity to skin and penetrate easily
  • Powerful Anti-Oxidant Complex (vitamins A, C and E) – helps protect and minimize signs of aging
  • Beta Glucan – oat derived, soothing moisturizer
  • Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate derived from Licorice extract
  • Alcohol and Fragrance-free

The texture is buttery, but not so soft that it migrates into the eyes, it has real staying power. I find it works best to apply it by warming it up in your fingers and then gently tapping it around the eye area. But I also discovered that I like using this best with the Laura Mercier Repair Eye Serum underneath. It’s like giving the eye area a serious wakeup call.
