Lancome Grandiose Mascara

The newest mascara by Lancome is called Grandiose and it quickly is becoming one of my favorites out of the Lancome wardrobe of mascaras. Without even opening the mascara tube you are impressed with the beautiful mascara tube.  You don’t even want to call it a “tube” as it’s more like a beautiful bottle. The fluid shape of the tube starts with the Lancome rose insignia made to look like it’s floating in a 3-D glass enclosed top. It’s really beautiful! But then you open it and notice the “swan” neck of the mascara wand.

Lancome New Grandiose Mascara

It’s the first Swan-Neck™ Wand that is curved at a 25 degree angle, which mimics the curve of your face, allowing you to reach all the lashes from corner to corner, root to tip with ease.  The brush head is a bit smaller in size (not real small though) and the varying lengths and sizes of the bristles allow you to coat all your lashes. The formula is made with Native Rose-Cell Extract™ and fewer waxes to give it an intense black glossy color. Longwear polymers provide up to 12 hours of flawless, smudge-free wear and soft lashes.

A few things I noticed right away about this mascara that is different, besides the obvious, is that with the angled wand it makes it easier to control when using. And the angle of the wand does indeed make a huge difference.  Whether you flip your wrist to the left or right, it’s easy to get everything.  I used it with the CILS Booster XL, which is reformulated, and you can see the before (top) and after (bottom) photos of my lashes.  I get big, full lashes and instead of dry and crispy feeling lashes, which happens so often when using a volumizing mascara, my lashes are really soft and pliable.

Lancome Grandiose mascara is available at Lancome.com and Lancome counters beginning in August.
