Can we love Nars or Marc Jacobs any more right now? Yes, they’re breaking the mold and throwing away the all the rules with this one. Instead of using a 20 something (or younger) model for their newest campaigns, they’ve turned the tables and are using women in their 60’s! Yes you read that right, women in their 60’s are the new faces for these makeup lines.
Jessica Lange at 64 is the new face for Marc Jacobs and Charlotte Rampling at 68 is the new face for Nars. Hooray for them! Let’s hope this is the start of something wonderful and that others will catch on.

Amazing! LOVE Jessica Lange!!!!!
It is about time! I am so proud of Marc Jacobs and Nars! I am glad I have started my Nars collection!
This is so fantastic. I have many a pins on my “beauty” page of women of a certain age, ahem, that are so unbelievably beautiful. I’ve also been noticing, when I watch some of my television programs from years gone by, there just wasn’t as much emphasis on 20 year olds. The casting consisted of a mix of all ages, but it wasn’t so young, as everything seems now. Subsequently, the characters seemed more interesting. There is nothing wrong with being 20, but when you’ve lived a little, it makes you much, much more interesting. You gain an inherent coolness that being 20 will never have.
Bravo to Nars and Marc Jacobs for recognizing that women of all ages can be beautiful.
I was especially excited to read about Charlotte Rampling, first, because I consider her one of my fashion and beauty icons, and second, because she’s still gorgeous at age 68!
