Glo Minerals

I’ve been at a few dermatologists offices and it seems that Glo Minerals makeup is always the go-to makeup line at their offices. A few months back when I was at Contour Clinic I sat down with Tracey she told me why it’s popular with dermatologists – it contains pharmaceutical grade ingredients, the products are highly pigmented and that means you only need a little bit, too. They’re also full of powerful vitamins and anti-oxidants, which are so important – so it’s like you’re getting makeup in your skincare or vice versa.

Tracey introduced me to this Glo Minerals Luxe Liquid Foundation and I am really enjoying using it for when I want more coverage than say from a tinted moisturizer. This foundation gives skin an overall flawless look because it has anti-aging diamond powder technology.  The diamond powder is light diffusing and so it gives the skin a soft glow as the reflective particles deflect the look of fine lines and wrinkles and make the skin look softer. But while it’s doing that on the surface of your skin it’s also working hard with the Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and vitamins A, C, E and green tea extracts.  Glo Minerals Luxe is talc free – which is something that many mineral makeup lines have in their ingredients and when they do, it ends up giving your skin an odd look. This is definitely more natural looking than those other lines and I like that it’s a liquid makeup as I don’t always like a powder foundation.

I found this works best if you initially apply with your fingers and then smooth it out with a kabuki style brush. Then it gives your skin that airbrushed look.
