Not all are over 40 women, but these are my favorite Oscar red carpet dresses for this year.

Lupita Nyong’o in this Prada dress custom made for her. She dubbed the shade Nairobi blue. I can see it as the Pantone color of the year in the future.

Christine Teigen wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and it was my favorite of the night.  I loved the style, pattern, color, the pockets – the whole package.

Kerry Washington looked beautiful and very pregnant on the red carpet. Not many can pull off a gorgeous gown when this pregnant, but she wore this Jason Wu gown with style and grace. And in those shoes!!!

Bette Midler looked stunning in her Reem Acra dress. At 68 she looked 20 years younger with the perfect dress.
