Dior Pop Art colors are part of the Summer Mix of colors – a burst of cool summer shades that add a pop of color to an easy going summer. These shades are not for the faint of heart, but are bold and playful, but the key is – they are wearable, too. Not some unruly colors that make you go, “huh”? You can have a lot of fun with these.
First of all the gloss shades are part of the newly reformulated glosses in their permanent collection, so I’m going to skip discussing those today and focus on the nails and cheek colors instead.
First up the nails. I love Dior nail polishes. I own countless polishes – love their wide brushes, the formula of the polish and the wide range of shades. They don’t just stick with the classics of nude and red, they invent new classics that are a bit daring and interesting as well. (Be sure to check out their print ad for Dior Air Flash foundation and you’ll see what I mean when you look at the hands of the model.) These 4 new limited edition nail shades for summer are no exception. Their the classic “fun in the sun” type of shades that have me at times reconsidering a pop of color beyond my toes. I mean how fun are these shades!? Tie and Die is an orange red, Creoles is a hot tropical pink, Pasteque is a vibrant watermelon and Sunnies is a tropical orange. I bought Creoles and Pasteque shades and I’m not sure which one will bring me out of my safe neutral zone first. What do you think?
There are also 4 new limited edition cream cheek colors. I have to tell you, when I heard Dior was going to bring back a cream cheek (sadly for now on a limited edition) I was thrilled. I loved the cream blushes they used to have in the line and they were a favorite among many. When I worked at the Dior counter, years later people still came in asking for them! The shades shown L-R are: 971 Pareo, 871 Bikini, 651 Panema, 851 Capri
Shown above is the shade 851 Capri. Because I’m fair skinned and don’t really get color in the summer, I stuck with the lightest shade Capri. All of them may look intense in the pot, but as you can see below on my hand, Capri is quite sheer. They are easy to swipe on with the fingers because they are so soft and blendable or you can you a brush if you prefer.
These cream blushes are extremely soft and creamy and almost have a velvety softness to them. With a little bronzer on my face, I think Capri will add a nice soft flush tone to the cheeks. Now to just get those fabulous Dior sunglasses and I’ll be set for summer!

Those shades are TDF, aren’t they?
