Chanel Holiday 2013 Collection

Chanel Holiday 2013 Collection, Nuit Infinie De Chanel is all-out glamour without going overboard, making it a wearable collection for women over 40.

My two favorite pieces from the collection are the powder blush in #84 Accent and the 5 pan Matelassees De Chanel eyeshadow palette in Charming.

Chanel Holiday 2013

The Chanel Holiday 2013 Collection has been available at counters for a few weeks now, but the eye shadow palette took forever to arrive.  It’s here and if these shades work for you, get it quickly as it will be gone! This is one of my favorite palettes to come out in years and I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I picked it up.  It’s versatile with the colors and textures ranging from matte to a slight shimmer to a more highly shimmery powder. The shades range from a light creamy beige shade, to a natural tan, a high shimmer bronze tone that is stunning, an olive brown with a very slight shimmer and the last shade is a matte purple that is quite greyed down.

This is one palette that will work long beyond the holidays.

Chanel Holiday 2013 Blush Accent

The powder blush in #84 Accent is silky textured powder that has shimmer to it. The shade is not your “pop of color”, but instead a warm glow to the face. It could almost be used as a bronze shade for some skin tones.

While I like the lipstick shades that are also limited editions with this collection, I am not a fan of the Rouge Allure Velvet formula for my lips. The matte shades that are limited edition for the collection are a deep wine and red. The Rouge Allure, a formula I like, the limited edition shade of Radieuse is a pink shade that I cannot wear for my skin tone.

There are additional pieces to the collection – such as Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear eye shadows and then there’s the Sparkling Top Coat mascara that I knew I probably wouldn’t wear and weren’t worth purchasing like the above pieces. The whole line is worth checking out, but act quickly because it’s a popular hit for the season and as with nearly all holiday collections, they are limited editions and once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
