Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy

I haven’t played around with Estee Lauder products in a few months. I fell in love with their newer Pure Color Envy Lipstick this summer. If you haven’t tried their new lipsticks it is definitely worth giving them another look. It’s a fabulous formula that’s creamy and moisturizing and in a nice range of shades. The packaging is also more modern and lovely.

Estee Lauder Compact

In August Estee Lauder released 10 new eye shadow palettes – Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eye Shadow 5-Color Palettes and again they have updated the packaging and not only are the shadows inside gorgeous, the packaging is too. A deep navy lacquered sleek case with gold trim that now has a look that rivals any higher end compact.

Currant Desire

Above is Currant Desire (shown at the very top too). Of the 10 shades available I chose this one as it has a lot of the colors that will work for my fall clothes and my coloring.  Shade #1 – the long one on the left is vanilla shade in a pearl finish #2 on the top left is a soft peachy pink in a satin finish. #3 the top right is a rosy taupe shade in pearl, #4 on the bottom left is a deep taupe in a shimmer finish and #5 on the bottom right is an eggplant shade in a soft pearl finish.

These are long wearing shades that are a powder but feel really creamy going on and blend beautifully. The color lasts several hours, but if you want more intensity you can wear them wet as well. If you apply them wet expect a longer wear time by a few hours.  Depending on the color palette you will find matte, pearl and satin finishes on the shadows.  There’s a great range from neutrals to deep, intense shades.

Overall, I really like the new Pure Color Envy line from the outside packing to the product inside. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
