Several years ago I was taking a flight to Las Vegas for a work convention and on the flight I had read in a magazine about Davines hair care.   I had never heard of it prior to that, but some starlet or other had said that their products were their favorite.   While on that flight, I had learned my lesson that one must tape shut the lid to hair mousse, otherwise it gets everywhere and you basically have nothing left in the bottle when you land – such as what happened to me on this particular flight.

Desperate to replace my coveted hair mousse I checked at the hotel’s salon to see what products they carried and to my surprise it was Davines, the line I had just read about that day on the plane.   I purchased the mousse and have used it over time as it is a good staple in my hair care product lineup.

Recently I was introduced to their Natural Tech line.  With nature, technology and being true to the environment, they’ve created a line to relieve stressed scalps, and we all know what we do with our hair and scalps with product and appliances. I’ve been testing four the the line’s products for several weeks and find this a great alternative to harsh chemical hair products.

The shampoo is called Well-Being De Stress Muesli and Yogurt ph 5.5 Shampoo.   The yogurt makes this a creamy shampoo that lathers nicely and doesn’t make my hair feel stripped.  It leaves my hair and scalp nicely moisturized without overly moisturizing which can give it a heavy feeling.

The conditioner is called Well-Being De Stress Yogurt ph 5.5 Conditioner.   This too is a creamy, medium thick conditioner that doesn’t weigh down my fine hair.

These next two products were the surprises in the line – for me anyway.

The Well-Being De Stress Yogurt Buffer Gel ph 4.5 is a hair gel and protector.  Use it on dry hair as a protector or with wet hair as a styling product.   When I opened this, the consistency is ever so slightly thicker than water.  I thought that there was no way this would add volume or anything else to my fine hair.  But I was pleasantly surprised.   I would say this gave my hair my bounce and shine than volume.   Even on a very humid day like today my hair doesn’t go flat when I use this.   I have not tried it on dry hair to see what happens though.

And the last product I tried is the Well-Being De Stress Be-Phase Shelter ph 5.5.  This is a spray on moisturizer for your hair and/or body.   I truly was hesitant to use this – who uses a product in your hair that works on your body?   This spray is freshly scented and has UV protectants and moisturizing wheat proteins.  When my hair is feeling dry or I’m going to go out into the sun, I spray some of this into my hand and rub it into my hair.   I’m hesitant to spray it directly to my hair with fine hair.    In doing that, it made me realize how incredibly, super-soft this made my hands!   It’s like a lightweight spray oil that easily absorbs into the skin and leaves it incredibly soft.

The other day I was testing some product at home on the back of my hand and thought I had taken it all off.   I then squirted a few sprays of this on the back of my hand and any trace of make was instantly dissolved!   Could this be a makeup remover too?

Davines is available at fine salons.
