I share Kari’s enthusiasm for sunglasses and, like her, I know that they are sight savers for our aging eyes as well as fun and trendy fashion statements. I never realized until my recent research exactly how polarized lenses differ from regular lenses. These are just a few of the upsides to choosing polarized sunglasses:
* They eliminate 100% of UVA/UVB rays.
* Images are clarified through polarized lenses, so that details appear sharper.
* The need to squint is diminished because the glare from bright images is reduced, which can help keep those dreaded crow’s feet at bay.
* Colors look more vibrant through polarized lenses.
Sunglasses may actually protect eyes from damage and from further vulnerability to cataracts so they are important to wear, not merely for aesthetic purposes.
The bottom line is that lenses that are polarized act almost like “shades” for your eyes and can filter out reflected light.
If you are susceptible to headaches, or eye fatigue, I think that it might be wise to experience the difference that wearing polarized sunglasses can make. No matter what style you gravitate towards, there is a multitude of options in this type of lense.

Thanks for an informative post! Awesome!
