Sarah Jessica Parker

When I tell people that I have a beauty blog I’ve heard countless times in response – “Oh, your name is Kari, you’re the Kari to beauty like Carrie Bradshaw is to shoes!”.  Seriously, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that – and well, I take it as a compliment of course.  I think we all have our own little girly obsessions and after Sarah Jessica Parker said she really does love shoes, it’s not just her Carrie Bradshaw character, it was no surprise to learn she was going to come out with a shoe line.  Well, it’s here! The SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoe line which also includes a few handbags, too, has arrived at Nordstrom.

Below are my 5 Fab Finds from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker line that I wish I had in my shoe closet right now!

SJP Shoes

The shoes are made in Italy, and the shoes and the handbags all have something on them that is grosgrain ribbon – a little nod to her favorite childhood adornment that has become a signature touch on her line of products. Love it!  The shoes are expensive, but not quite the Manolo price that would be about double the price of these shoes.

Clockwise from top left, the shoes are:

Iva Slingback – I can see these being worn with anything from dress slacks to a sundress to something more formal. A great versatile dress sandal

Fawn Pump – These come in leather or patent leather and I like either style. A perfect classic to have for any wardrobe staple.

Silvia Grosgrain Ankle Strap Sandal – For more dressy occasions this is a fabulous strappy sandal and I love the little bow adornment.

Wallace Sandal – I want, want, want this sandal! I love the double strap, the leopard print and yes, a flat shoe can be sexy, too.

New Yorker Hobo Handbag – While a hobo bag is not just for New Yorkers, it is a great style bag to own no matter where you live. They hold everything and polish up a more casual look.
