While most people may think that BB creams and tinted moisturizers are best for summer, I tend to gravitate toward them more in cooler weather. Why? Because they’re super moisturizing and I don’t typically want to think about applying sunscreen in the winter months, even though its a must, so it’s like getting multiple skin care issues taken care of at once.
I’ve tested many, many BB Creams over the past few years and some really stick out in my mind as exceptional. Prices for a BB Cream can range all over the place from under $10 to over $100. RoC’s Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Perfecting BB Cream is one that is a drug store buy, but probably considered on the higher end of drug store pricing for a BB Cream as it is just under $30.
But, is it worth that $30?
I’d definitely say “yes”. There are several factors on why I like this RoC BB Cream
- It has broad spectrum SPF 25
- Fights lines and wrinkles
- Helps with the appearance of dark spots
- Brightens skin tone
- Excellent moisturizer
- Excellent coverage – not too light nor too heavy
- It doesn’t separate on the skin
But one of my favorite reasons I like this in addition to all the stated ones above is that it doesn’t give your face that pasty white glow. This blends in very nicely and is one of the best BB Creams I’ve used. One downfall – it only comes in one shade. Just like I don’t believe one size fits all, I’m not a big fan of “for all skin tones”. I’m lucky as this seems to work well with my skin tone, but I’d question how well it would work on someone with a really fair or much darker skin tone than mine.
Will I buy this when it runs out? Yes – and it’s going to run out soon as I use this always after my workout at the gym and with summer approaching (let’s hope!) I will be grabbing this quite frequently.
