We’ve been a Supergoop! sunscreen family for several years. In fact, when my boys were still living at home and had summer jobs and outdoor sports in the blazing sun they would always carry in their vehicles the big 18 oz. jug of Supergoop! sunscreen. That way they could reapply often when they were outside for hours on end and know they wouldn’t run out quickly.
Supergoop! has a wide range of sun care products – ranging from various SPF degrees to lip protection, CC creams, eye creams and more. They even have this Self-Tanning Sunscreen Mousse with Broad Spectrum SPF 20. Most self-tanners don’t have sun protection they just are self-tanners, which can leave people with a false sense of security about sun protection. Their self-tanner also is antioxidant-infused and it’s quite moisturizing. They call it a mousse or a whipped lotion, but to me it’s more like a very creamy, moisturizing lotion.
And we all know how self-tanners smell, some worse than others. But the Supergoop! Self-Tanner has a more pleasant scent that is of green tea and cucumber – not a bizarre chemical smell. I like how this gives your skin a tan look without the self-tanner tell-tale orange look and it keeps the skin moisturized while doing so.
Did you know that the ingredient oxybenzone is in many sunscreens and environmental and toxicology experts believe this ingredient has been linked to hormone disruption and possible cell damage that can lead to cancer. Well, Supergoop! is oxybenzone and paraben free!
