Prevention magazine recently announced the winners of the 2009 Defy Your Age Beauty Awards. This award is given to leading anti-aging products that have been tested by seven leading dermatologist. A list of 35 products were tested for up to eight weeks on a group of 175 women aged 40 plus. They used state of the art equipment to test and analyze the results and compare them to the claims. This years winners were all under $50.
Said Liz Vaccariello, SVP/editor-in-chief of Prevention, “A staggering number of beauty products are launched every year making it increasingly difficult for women to determine which ones they should invest in. We are proud to say that we put product claims to the test and found seven that truly deliver visible improvements – we saw wrinkles, brown spots and other over 40 skin issues disappear.”
