A few weeks back a friend and I were asked to participate in experiencing a new treatment by Le Metier de Beaute. It’ s their new, soon-to-be-released home spa mask and peel duo called CHEM60 Pro Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set.  We headed to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis to enjoy this new treatment.  Unlike others who have tried this at the counter, the Neiman’s in Minneapolis has a spa room set up so we were able to each experience this treatment like we were having a high-end spa treatment by an aesthetician, rather than a do-it-yourself treatment at the counter. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.

While Carrie was getting her treatment done, I spent time at the counter to learn more about the new treatment. This duo was designed as a 15 minute at-home spa experience that works below the surface of the skin to improve and enhance skin, and revealing younger looking skin in a short period of time.  The first step is the CHEM 60 Pro-Peel that contains a proprietary blend of Salicylic and Glycolic acids delivered via Syntoc Actif (a process developed for Le Metier as a delivery release of product). The Pro-Peel dminishes fine lines and wrinkles, increases hydration, is good for all skin types and can be used up to 3 times a week.

The second step is the GLOW10ai Mask and that infuses skin with antioxidants, vitamins and hydrators to help skin renew and rebuild and strengthening the skin’s overall appearance.  The blend of moisturizers help revive  the appearance of damage, dull-looking skin, hyperpigmentation is lessened and improved, irritation and redness caused by chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments are diminished, leaving skin soft, supple and hydrated.

During the spa experience the first step was washing the face with Daily Renew Cleanser. I already own this and really like this cleanser. It has a nice orangey scent that is infused with Vitamin C and exfoliating beads to gentle exfoliate the skin. Then the Daily Fresh Tonic was used for rebalancing the skin. Carrie and I both said we experienced a tingling on our faces when she used this on us. It wasn’t a sting, but a gentle tickle-tingle effect.

For the next step, the new Peel/Mask set was used.  The CHEM60 Pro Peel comes in a squeeze tube with a brush on the end for application. We were told we may feel tingling when this is used, but neither of us had that sensation. Just a thin layer is used on the face and left on anywhere from 60 seconds up to 5 minutes. I’m not sure how long Carrie had this left on her face, but she left it on the full 5 minutes for me. I never felt any irritation, just a cooling sensation as it went on. After time was up any remaining product was removed with a warm cloth.

The second step – the GLOW10ai Mask is thinly applied – make sure you apply just a thin layer. It comes with a spatula for applying it to the face, but she also spread it around with her fingers after the initial application with the spatula.  That is left on the face for 10-15 minutes; depending on when it is dry, which is another reason not to use a heavy hand when applying this.  When it is dry the skin does not feel strange with that tight, overly dry mask feel, it’s barely detectable on the skin.  Then it is actually peeled off! Grab a corner and start peeling off the face.

After the peel she finished by applying the Revitalizing Day Cream and Revive Eye Concentrate to the face.  Both Carrie and I commented on how wonderful our skin felt afterwards.  I know Carrie’s skin looked smooth, line-free and flawless. Her skin really glowed.  My skin felt refreshed, pampered and smooth as silk.  Personally because I do so many other treatments on my skin throughout the week I would probably use this 1 time a week possibly twice a week,  instead of the 2-3 times a week suggested. I really liked this and Carrie agreed she did, too.

Le Metier de Beaute CHEM 60 Pro Peel and GLOW10ai Mask is sold as a set for $265 and will be available this coming November sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus.
