Typically in the summertime my skin gets oily. When I interviewed Dr. Doris Day, NYC Dermatologist several months ago I asked her if my skin still could be dry but feel oily in the summertime, she said yes. The sun and heat can dry out your skin, but leave the oils on the surface.
Well, I’ve been suffering A LOT this summer from oily face, to the point of now breaking out all over, more so than when I was a teen! So I have been extremely frustrated that my usual products haven’t been working. I was talking with the iS Clinical rep and he suggested a few things for my skin.
Every night after cleansing my face and before moisturizing I apply this iS Clinical Active Serum. This serum is multi-purpose, helping with acne, anti-aging and skin brightening. The serum if very thin, so apply 3-5 drops in the palm of your hand and rub together because if you put it on your fingertips it will run right off. Then rub it into your face, and it is normal to feel a slight sting for a bit. Within 2 weeks of using this, all my acne was cleared up and I haven’t had a new pimple since! I really like how this works on my skin on many levels.
During the day for a treatment, I use the Youth Complex. This is a thicker serum, almost lotion-like. It goes on smoothly and I like how it makes my skin feel. The deep wrinkles on my skin are nearly immediately lightened (which lasts only several hours) but over time it is said to reduce those deep wrinkles long term. I have not been using it long enough to know if I will have those results or not, but I am very pleased with the short term effects. AND, if that won’t get you to try it, maybe the Tootsie Roll scent will. Not kidding – to me this smells just like yummy Tootsie Rolls. So much so, that I finally caved a few weeks ago and bought a bag of Tootsie Rolls!
But in all seriousness, this is a high-grade professional line that is definitely worth checking out. Right after I spoke with their rep I was in my dermatologists office for my yearly mole check and I noticed they carried some of this line. Now my dermatologist is very select about what products they carry and they have both of these items from the iS Clinical line. When I saw that, I just knew they had to be good!
