Chanel Le Blanc

A few weeks back I was on the phone with a sales associate and wanted to replenish a few of my stock items. I am not a big shopping mall person and especially when it’s holiday season I avoid the mall at all costs.  When speaking with the s.a. about what I wanted to replenish (the eye makeup remover) I wasn’t too clear and received this in the mail instead, Chanel Le Blanc.  I had never heard of it or obviously never tried it before, but I was just too exhausted to return it and thought I’d give it a try.

Turns out, I love this stuff! It’s really unique in that it comes out of the tube like a gel, then when you rub it into your dry skin on the face it turns to an oil and add a touch of water and it turns to a lotion. I call it freaking fabulous! It gets breaks down all the makeup, even eye makeup, grime and dirt on your face and then you rinse it off and actually use a cleanser after that.  I’m typically not one for adding steps to my skincare routine, especially if I feel they really aren’t necessary or seem redundant, but with this I’ll make an exception.  This could be a great option for those of you who aren’t quite sure about using flat out cleansing oils as this texture is similar but not quite a full-blown oil. Especially now that my skin is quite dry because of this horrible winter weather, the texture feels fabulous. It leaves my skin really soft and not dried out or oily or filmy feeling.  Chanel Le Blanc is spendy, but a tiny drop goes a long, long way. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve suddenly turned into a Chanel skincare fan with Le Lift and Le Weekend.

It’s a mistake that turned into a good thing.  A really good thing.
