This morning I woke up early – before the birds even began their morning song. It was peaceful and the first thing I did was grab my iPad and start perusing Violet Grey website. I had gotten an email from their PR on this exclusive LeLabo Santal 26 candle for Violet Grey. It’s a scent that’s one of the favorites in the line and they created it in this black glass just for Violet Grey. Stunning. The #26 comes from the 26 ingredients used to craft the scent including notes of amber, coco, vanilla, cedar and musk. All of Le Labo’s candles are 100% soy wax and use pure cotton wicks. They are hand-poured in Mississippi and are highly dosed with perfume. The candle collection is GMO-free, vegan and cruelty-free. It has me intrigued.
But something more got my creative senses going this morning and that was the Violet Grey website itself. It’s a website where you can purchase the best of the best in beauty, skincare and related items that are used by makeup artists like Tim Quinn, Charlotte Tilbury and more. Makeup artists that work on faces we see on the red carpet, in magazines and secretly wish we could do an eye look or a lip look like they create. Well, they also have the how-to’s on many looks as well.
Funny thing, there are many products that they use that I own and some I have been dying to try and now I really am going to try and also some lines I’ve never heard of that I want to know more about.
Before I knew it the birds were chirping, the sun was coming up and my alarm was finally going off after spending about 90 minutes getting inspired.
