Even though Fall Beauty Collections are popping up everywhere, I’m still in full-swing summer mode. With heat indexes in the upper 90’s low 100’s for this week I want easy makeup that is going to stay put, look good and if it’s good for my skin, well that’s a bonus I love!

By Terry makeup and skincare line was created by Terry de Gunzburg, who at one time was the creative director for YSL Beauté, who has since gone out on her own creating her own line of products. Over the last few years I’ve owned a few of the products and they are continually must-haves in my beauty arsenal. Many of the products are infused with a rose scent – a signature stamp on her products.  One thing I find common in all her products that I’ve used are that they are multi-purpose, in another words, the makeup doesn’t just have color, it also has skincare properties with many containing hyaluronic acid. Don’t be afraid of hyaluronic acid – it’s a good thing! It’s something that we naturally have in our skin (gives it that plumpness) and we tend to lose that over the years – hence the loss of “the glow” we all so desire as we age.

For summer an important factor in helping to keep makeup stay put in hot weather is a primer.  However, if you’re like me most primers are irritating and feel heavy on the skin and aren’t worth that extra step or layer. By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Primer is an exception to the primers. It’s lightweight and mattifies without looking pasty-dry or feeling heavy. It fills in pores and lines, but does so in a “gentle” way so it doesn’t look like you have anything on your skin. It contains hyaluronic acid and so it also helps to plump the skin. Yay!

Part of the summer collection, Summer Splash, is the Hyaluronic Blush. I am in love with this and I think I have “tossed” (not literally) all my other blushes and this is the one I use time and time again.  I hope they add it to a permanent collection because it. is. wonderful. Typically I’m not super enthused about cream blushes. I can have slightly oily skin and with summer humidity they tend to “slide” off the face. But before that, many are in pots or tubes and quite frankly can be difficult to apply. They don’t have a good blendable slip to them and can look streaky and unnatural, defeating the “natural glow” look cream blushes are supposed to give the skin.  However, the Hyaluronic Blush is different – it’s on a level of its own and no cream blush I’ve ever tried comes close to how great this is.

Just a small dot (like shown above) is all that is needed for a cheek. I tap that out into a few smaller dots on my cheek and blend with my fingers. The lower photo shows the soft, natural flush it gives the skin.  This shade is called Peach Posh and is limited edition. And one would think that because it’s so sheer and blendable that it wouldn’t last long.  Wrong! It lasts for hours and hours. So long in fact, I was pleasantly surprised when several hours later I looked in the mirror and it was just as present on my cheeks as it had been when I applied.

What a super easy way to look fresh this summer!  I liked By Terry products before, but now I am a true convert!  By Terry is available at Space NK. Stay tuned for Monday as Fab Over Forty has a FABULOUS special with Space NK that you won’t want to miss!

PR sample received for consideration of review. However, I love these so much I would tout these any time and any where!
