Tarte has gone and done it again, but it’s a good thing, because this 8 piece set called Shades of Clay is available only on Tuesday, February 4th as the Tarte QVC Today’s Special Value. This set would normally sell for $202. if purchased separately, but the TSV it will only be $59.96! It’s an incredible value; 7 pieces of makeup and a large hot pink bag that fits this set and leaves room for additional items, too.
So here’s all the pieces you get in this set – which we’ll go start from the beginning of how you would use the products.
First apply the Colored Clay CC Primer. The shade shown above is Light – and it has color-correcting shades to neutralize the appearance of skin imperfections and it evens and brightens the skin tone for a flawless finish. Apply in circular motions starting at the center of the face and blend outward. Here it is applied on the back of my hand and you can see how well it blends and the soft finish it gives to the skin. You can’t detect the green or lavender shades that are in the stick, but they blend out beautifully.
Next top it with the Amazonian Colored Clay Liquid Foundation. When I saw the jar I thought for sure it was a powder foundation and surprised when I opened it that it was liquid. It’s quite lightweight as you can see how well it blends into my hand without looking matte or dull or heavy. It’s infused with antioxidant rich ingredients and helps to camouflage imperfections, fine lines and wrinkles.
The set comes with this angled foundation brush and it works great for the primer and the liquid foundation.
The next step is using the Amazonian colored clay bronzer blush. I like this for its multi-purpose use. Swirl a powder brush over the shades and dust it into the cheekbones or across the nose and forehead for a sun-kissed glow. But, I also have used this with a small eye shadow brush and used the shades individually for shadows, too.
Line and define the eyes with the Amazonian colored clay eyeliner in black. It’s a super smooth liner that’s retractable and if you have never tried one of Tarte’s eyeliners, you are missing out. They are amazing! Top it with the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara.
To finish off the look, top your lips with LipSurgence Lip Gloss in a sheer raspberry shade True Love. I think it looks like the color of a cherry Popsicle! It’s super moisturizing, too.
The other thing I really like about this set is that it’s shades you can wear now. They aren’t dark, winter shades that we’re all tired of and they aren’t super-pastel shades like so many Spring collections are. These are shades that can truly be worn year-round. Remember – Tuesday only is when it’s available for the special price!
