Having groomed eyebrows is so important, especially as we age. Thicker eyebrows can make your face appear more youthful. My brows used to be thicker than Brooke Shield’s brows! They were incredibly thick! And then one day when I was 13 I decided I’d had enough and plucked away. I plucked a bit too much, but luckily they grew back. We don’t have that luck so much when we’re older. Brows typically don’t grow back as fast or as full, so we are left to filling them in. I know mine are now a lot thinner and less dense than even 10 years ago, so I always use a pencil to fill and shape.
I was at Ulta recently and was told I had points collected from their beauty program. You get points for the value of items previoiusly purchased. You can use your points toward product and there’s a variety of product to choose from depending on your value of purchases. I chose this brow pencil from Revlon called Brow Fantasy. I really didn’t know what to expect, but I figured it was free – so it won’t be a lost cause.
I was pleasantly surprised by Brow Fantasy. I chose the dark blonde shade and it works well with my natural brow color. On one end is the color and the opposite is a matching brow gel to keep the hairs in place. The pencil is of medium hardness – not super soft, but still workable. The brush/gel side is great at keeping the hairs set.
This is definitely a Beauty on a Budget! At only $7.49 its comparable to others I’ve tried that are almost triple the price, and some of those just have the spooly brush on one end, not a gel.
