As an esthetician for many years doing facial treatments, I’ve wondered about the results of these home units and would consider purchasing for resale to my clients. I only recommend things I fully believe in. Would be nice to see test on someone a bit older, say 53 or 56. I’ll be following results!

I had a laser treatment done under my eyes at the PS office a couple years ago..lots of downtime and results were great but only temporary as there was no ongoing maintenance. I can’t wait to hear (and see) how this works for you!

In reply to noa. Hi Noa, I am not sure. This has only been approved for around the eye area, so that is the only area I am testing at this time.

Does it work on the deep lines around the mouth (the infamous “bracket” lines that go from the nose to the lips)?

In reply to Denise. It is only FDA approved for the eye area, so nothing is mentioned about other uses. However, I have wondered the same thing too!

Does the literature say anything about eliminating broken capillaries or old acne scars? That would be incredible, to be able to take care of those at home, instead of having to make expensive repeat trips to the esthetician.

This will definitely be an interesting series to follow. I love lasers in general and think they are great for so many things. I go in once a year for IPL and V-Beam maintenance to take care of any blotchiness and broken capillaries that have cropped up. It doesn’t hurt, there is no down time, it keeps my skin looking homogenous. I’m in and out in 30 minutes. I love lasers!

The only down side I can think of to this at home set up–and it is considerable–is the that it requires a huge investment of time, both initially and as part of on-going maintenance. If the results replicate fraxenated resurfacing; however, it mightl be worth it.
