The other day I asked a makeup artist to give me a nude lip. I have such trouble with nude lips, I like the look on others, but feel it gives me a “dead” look.

Here’s what she suggested; find a lip color that is close to your natural lip shade. That may be more pink for some like me who have fair skin. Others it may be more tan and still others a shade with peach tones. For me a good shade is Bobbi Brown Petal Pink in the Metallics finish.

The second thing she suggested was a tip I had never heard before. Take a lip pencil and a lip brush, swipe the color off the lip pencil with the lip brush and apply to your lip. That way you don’t get a harsh line when you apply the lip pencil to your nude lips. Perfect nude lips!
