This week is a busy party week for me. I have three to attend and those are just the ones that are planned! Who knows how many impromptu get-togethers may occur! I like to be prepared and plan ahead for as much as I possibly can, and for me that means along with what clothes and jewelry I’ll be wearing to what makeup I’ll be using. For one particular party I’ll be wearing Bobbi Brown Holiday for my look.
During the post Thanksgiving sales I purchased a few Bobbi Brown items. The Wine eye palette and an Uber Rose lipstick. With that I got a free Smokey Eye Mascara and I already had the Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink. I was a bit concerned that with my fair skin and green eyes that the palette might be a bit dark, but it’s beautiful! The colors from top left are Frappe – a matte very light soft mocha shade. Next is Moon Glow, a shimmer wash in a champagne color. Below that is Pinot Noir in shimmer wash which is between a coppery and burgundy eye color. To the left of that is Black Cocoa in a metallic texture. This is a lovely way to do black – not a harsh black, but with rose gold flecks. On the bottom row there are actually 3 shadow colors. It looks like two because the left and middle one are similar, but not exact. All three are the Intense Pigment Liner texture which are intense, dense, full-pigment colors. On the left if Molten Chocolate, a deep and dark chocolate color. Next is Malbec, which is similar to Molten Chocolate but with a bit more of a wine color added to the dark brown and far right is Night a black/burgundy shade.
The lipstick shade Uber Rose is a stunning medium rose shade that is in the Luxe Lip Color finish. I have one or two other shades in this Luxe Lip Color finish, but for some reason this feels extra creamy compared to those. This may become a go-to shade for many occasions. I almost hesitated getting this shade, I mean, do I really need another lip color? No, but I’m really glad I did! I love the color and the creamy texture.
To finish off my eye look I’ll be using the Black Ink Gel Eyeliner, the Smokey Eye Mascara and one thing I need to be sure to add is the Natural Brow Shaper and Hair Touch Up. My favorite brow tint product that covers those nasty greys. I use the Rich Brown Shade. For blush I’ll use the Shimmer Brick Compact in Pink Quartz. It will add a lovely glow for the night.
