Did you know that September is National Honey Month? Who knew? Well, apparently Guerlain knows all about it! The Guerlain Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York has unveiled a new manicure and pedicure treatment called “Milk, Haute Honey and Rooftop Herbs”.
This treatment isn’t any ordinary treatment, and of course when it’s Guerlain you don’t expect it to be either. But, I had no idea until I recently learned that they actually have six beehives installed on the Waldorf Astoria New York! Not only that, they have an herb garden recently installed on the rooftop as well.
This unique nail treatment by Guerlain Spa includes rosemary from the rooftop garden and infused into a lemon sugar scrub to exfoliate the skin and Top of the Waldorf Rooftop Honey, taken from the hotel’s six apiaries, will be applied followed by hot towels in order to penetrate the skin and leave it silky smooth.
In addition, the spa will commence each signature Abeille Royal Facial treatment (which gets its name from the use of royal bee jelly) with a taste of the one-of-a-kind hotel honey. Cocktails and spa menu items also utilize garden ingredients. For post-treatment pampering, the spa’s “Final Touch” offers a complimentary shoe shine, garment steaming and make-up refresh with every treatment.
