Still so many parties and for this one I’m using Lancome for my holiday look. Nearly all the products are not holiday limited editions and you are able to purchase at any time with the exception of the eye shadow.
First up is the Teint Idole foundation stick. I am obsessed with this foundation. It’s a silky matte, so it doesn’t lay flat on your skin, just flawless and it’s so easy to use. I have two in the 320 Bisque Warm shade (which is the far right shade). I keep one always in my bag for touch ups throughout the day. I mostly touch up around my nose and chin and then when in a bind I’ll use it under my eyes as well. I like that you can apply it with your fingers and it looks great, or smooth it out with a soft bristle foundation brush and elevate it to amazing.
For the eyes I want a little drama with color so I’m using the Petit Tresor Hotel Particulier. It’s a shimmery plummy taupe color that makes my green eyes pop. It’s a nice shimmer that’s not glittery so for me it’s easily wearable and looks festive, too. The color is printed in a basket weave pattern and the case is very festive with a glittery gold case. This is sold out online wherever I look, with the exception of Lancome’s website. It’s worth the search.
To finish off the eye look I’ll use the Grandiose Liner in Matt Black. I used to be not so great at creating a liquid eyeliner cat eye look. Now I think I finally have it down, thanks to their ingenious design. The handle click-tilts to make application so easy. It really, really works! And I have always been a fan of the Grandiose mascara, but love the Grandiose Extreme even more. It really gives me va-va-voom lashes which are perfect for party time. This eye color is dramatic, but simple with one shadow, a liner and mascara!
For blush, Meil Glace has been my go to for years. This shade may not look like much in the compact, but it’s one of those shades I’ve purchased again and again and again. Its subtle color adds warmth that’s not quite a bronze and more subtle than a rose or coral blush. It has a slight shimmer to it making it perfection. It’s also great when doing a dramatic eye so you don’t overdo the whole makeup look.
To top off this holiday look, I’ll use the Juicy Shaker in the shade Piece of Cake. And yes, the flavor is just like you’ve eaten a piece of cake. Yummy! Maybe it will keep me from eating too much at the holiday party! The shade compliments the blush and adds a hint of color so not to compete with the eyes.
Wondering about the jewelry shown here? J. Crew bracelet and Ann Taylor earrings.
