Many of your are familiar with the Dior Airflash foundation. If not, it’s a foundation you should get acquainted with. It’s a flawless foundation that comes in a spray can and can either be sprayed directly on the face with a light mist and then smoothed out with a brush to give the face an airbrushed finish. It can also be applied by spraying in onto a brush and then applied to the face. Personally I like the first way – I think it appears lighter on the skin that way and then if I need a bit more coverage on the face in certain spots, then use it by spraying on a brush and applying it that way for more coverage. Makeup artists love it because the flawless look it gives and because there is no SPF it’s great for photography as well. A while back Dior added more shades to the collection and that really rounds it out nicely.
Now they’ve added two more products to the Dior Airflash line. CC Primer and Matte Touch, which are both sprayed in much the same manner as the Airflash foundation, but neither of these new products have to be used exclusively with the Airflash foundation, they can be used with any foundation. With the CC Primer it’s designed to make foundation last longer, but it also works to correct the color in the skin and boost luminosity with its micro-diffusion system. It works to even out the skin tone and give it “the glow” so when you apply foundation over it your skin looks more flawless and youthful. This comes in only one shade – a universal shade.
The Matte Touch is something to be used after applying foundation or on its own. This ultra-fine mist is a powder in a spray format, but it’s so much more than that. Not only does it help to set the makeup, because it’s an ultra-fine mist it appears on the skin (or should I say it doesn’t appear on the skin) so fine that it’s virtually unnoticeable. The other part I particularly like is that it’s made with nylon fibers that tighten the pores and makes it work like Spanx for the face! I’ll take that! This is best applied by taking a large fluffy powder brush and spraying it directly on the brush and using a tapping motion while applying it to the skin. This too comes in only one shade as it adjusts to skin tone, and can be used throughout the day as needed.
