Several years ago I was introduced to the hair care line called Kerastase. I instantly fell head over heels in love with it. Or should I say hair over heels, and I have been using the line ever since. I’ve used various shampoo, conditioners, masks and styling products from the line and always have Kerastase something in my hair care rotation. They’ve dropped a few products and lately have been adding several new ones to the line, but it’s the Volumactive line that I keep coming back to.
When you have fine hair like I do, it can be “sensitive” to products. Too heavy of a conditioner and your hair is weighted down, some volumizing shampoos are drying to my hair and can ruin a good color job. Some volumizing styling spray products can irritate my scalp and again, other styling products feel like they strip my hair and ruin the color. Even if you have fine hair it should be soft and manageable, not dried out to give it the look of volume.
That’s why I love Kerastase Volumactive – it leaves my hair soft and manageable, the styling products hold the style and it never strips my hair of its expensive color. Are the products expensive? Yes, they are priced above the drugstore brands and some salon brands, but some other brands I know are even higher priced.
The shampoo leaves my hair clean without feeling stripped and the conditioner is light enough to use everyday. When my hair needs extra care because of the brutal weather and styling tools I love the masks – they leave my hair soft and shiny, but again not weighted down. The Volumactive spray and mousse leave it full and bouncy, and not stripped feeling at all.
The line of Kerastase products are available online and at better salons. Some products were sent to me, but I have bought this line for many years.
