Stay tuned for more great giveaways coming up!
Let’s face it, once you’re over 40 it’s difficult to get a full night of sleep. If you’re anything like me, you wake up at 3:30 a.m. and hope you can fall back asleep and get more than the four hours you’ve just had. But most nights I know I end up turning on the TV and I don’t know how many times I’ve watched the InStyler being shown and demonstrated by Dean Banowetz. Good thing I don’t keep a credit card by my bed or who knows what would be showing up at my door from the shows I watch!
But one thing that seems to always keep me watching is the InStyler. I’m still on that quest for “Perfect Hair in 2010” and maybe this would help me reach my goal! I’m always intrigued by the rotating barrel and bristles combinaton, it seems to me that it’s the common sense way to get a great looking hairstyle without so much damage to your hair.
Now here’s your chance to try one by winning one! Fab Over Forty has been given not one, but 3 InStylers from the PR company to give away! Each InStyler has a SRP of $119. Here are the rules for your chance to win:
- Click on Comments (the crown at the top of the post) and enter your name and tell me what hairstyling appliance you currently use. It’s really my own little poll to see what most people use!
- One entry per day
- Open to US residents only
- Contest ends on Monday, August 23 at 11:59 PM
- Winners will be randomly chosen
I use a flat iron most days but would love to try your InStyler.
Hi Kari,
I currently use a blow dryer w/very large barrel brush and then a 2″ curling iron for a little more body if needed. Great giveaway, I’d love to give the InStyler a try. I hear you on the credit card next to the bedside and waking up @ 3:30 a.m.

I use a blow dryer and a barrel brush. Sometimes I use velcro rollers for extra body and sometimes my faithful curling iron!
Always open to trying something new!!

LOL…What is it with us ladies over forty and those a.m. infomercials?!? It seems like the later it is, the more you are sure that’s the product for you.
I currently use a curling brush after blowdrying and have wondered many nights about the InStyler. What a fun giveaway! Pam
I normally use a blowdryer and then a flat iron to give my body hair and then straighten it out with a bit of shine.
Chi Chi! I use a pink Chi hair dryer and a Chi flat iron. My massage terrorist, I mean therapist, just told me what she saw being sold on HSN in the wee hours of the night and let me tell you…I was SHOCKED! Let’s just say it was things that arrive in plain brown paper wrapping with no names of stores on the outside. Could. Not. Believe. It!
I use a blowdryer, round barrel brush and sometimes I’ll throw in a few velcro rollers on the top and sides to give my fine hair some oomph. Would love to try this instyler, thanks.
Blow Dryer and a round barrel brush – if I have the time, I’ll use hot rollers. Thanks for holding the giveaway!
If I’m out to look my best I turn to my tried and true tools of choice. I use a blow dryer first and then finish up the hair torture with a flatiron. I know I’m damaging my hair with all the heat but it has been the only combo that works. I’m always looking to try new things so fingers crossed. Thanks for the blog:-}
I currently use my fingers, as I’m wearing my naturally curly hair, well naturally curly. But I can tell the tides are turning and I’m resisting the urge to pull out my Hai flatiron from its prison under the sink.
most days I use a blow dryer with a large barrel brush but lately more of the flat iron. I am so scared this will fry my hair so I use a heat protectant to try and prevent this. We will try anything for the perfect “do.
I use a blow dryer with a barrel brush. A curling iron and hot rollers and sometimes I get frustrated and just wash and french braid my hair and let nature take it’s course!
I use the hairdryer and flat iron. Just had my hair done yesterday and my stylist wants me to try the Brazilian Blow Out. It, apparently, will rock my world. This sounds a little more reasonable to try…Oh, ya, it is now 5 in the morning because I woke up at 3:30 and checked email instead of infomercial this time. I feel ya.
I’m using a Global Beauty flat iron with one heat setting to finish for a sleeker look and to tame some curling. Am very interested is finding a better solution for my shoulder length bob.
I’m using revlon hair dryer with a round brush and a conair flat iron that I’m SO challenged with. I crimp my hair at the end EVERY time! Hate it!!!!!
I use the Chi blue blow dryer with a paddle brush & the black Chi flat iron.
Oh to sleep on a regular basis, I hear you! I use a blow dryer, then hot ollers in front. Been looking at the in styler for years, thanks for the chance to try it.
I use a blow dryer and a straight hair brush. Some days I just let my hair dry naturally.
I would love to give the InStyler a try.
I would love to try this product!
I’m using the T3 blowdryer with a HUGE round brush. So time consuming and I easily get tired from it!

…and tell me what hairstyling appliance you currently use:
I blow dry my bangs and use a flat iron once my hair dries.
I am thinking about cutting all my hair off (Think Linda Evangelista circa 1990’s)except my bangs, because the ends need cutting and it’s to hot here to bother to do anything but dry and style my bangs and then some form of a pony or bun… every day…
for months. Ug.
That’s why I need this thing. My bangs are going to BE my style.
I use a dryer and large round brush….then my hair still falls flat, so, next I put in velcro rollers 🙂
Believe it or not, I’m STILL using a curling iron (somtimes, when it decides ro work!) by Braun that I bought in Germany in 1979 and a blow dryer from Sears that I bought in the mid-nineties! Yeah, it’s definitely time for new hair appliances!
I blow dry my hair then style it with a hot air brush. Still not the look I’m after. May the InStyler is the answer!!
I have to use a ton of serum and protective “goo” first, then I blow-dry with my Conair dryer, and straighten with my Babyliss flatiron (which I do NOT like as well as my former Solia that broke). Oh, and then hairspray to keep out the frizz in this MN humidity!!!
I blow dry my hair with a round brush and then I usually use a flat iron. But I just purchased hot rollers and used them this last week and loved them!
I blowdry my hair and then I use a round brush to “style” it. It take me “forever” to do! I would love something better!
I use a blow dryer and round brush or/and velcro rollers. I’m also fascinated by the late night commericals and pray for good hair in 2010- I certainly have less of it now, I should be able to get it right! 🙂
I also blow dry my hair using a round ceramic brush and then I use my curling iron. But this INSTYLER HOT IRON looks really like something I would love to test out personally. It might work better since I’m growing out bangs and need something better than what I’m currently working with.
I have to blow dry my hair and then I use a Chi flat iron and my hair needs serious help. I have to color my hair every 2and a half weeks because the gray comes in so fast and all that coloring plus the blow drying and straightening is taking a toll on my hair. I think the Instyler could really help.
I use the blow dryer & vented brush, followed by a Jilbere 1.5″ flat iron. I would love to win an InStyler!
I’m still stuck in the ’80s – I use electric rollers and really need to shake things up with a new product!
I use a blow dryer and a round brush. I would love to try the InStyler.
I definitely need a hair gizmo change from my old curling iron. This InStyler Hot Iron looks like it would be exactly the hair helper I’ve been looking for.
P.S. I’m an Email Subscriber and really love your site.
I use a conair flat iron
I don’t use any as I have curly hair and air dry,but I would love to try the Instyler for a straight, sleek look.
The hairstyling appliance I currently use is the FHI Platform flat iron. Love to have a product such as the Instyler, it appears to be an amazing hair tool.
I blow dry my hair til almost dry and then use a hot air brush to smooth my hair.
I use a blow dryer and then my Conair flat iron. Would love to try the Instyler!
I need a better way to style my hair. My current curling iron just won’t do. This win of the InStyler Hot Iron would be great!
Thanks for the chance to win one from EMAIL SUBSCRIBER.
Same old thing….Brow dry with a round brush and a little teasing. Would love to try something new!
after 5 years of promoting ‘the char’ uh ‘the chi’ my stylist talked me into buying one.. im tired of smelling burnt hair!
I blow dry my hair first then I use a round brush to style it…it’s a pain!Would love to try something new!
Daily entry for the InStyler!
Cheap Conair hairdryer and a Babylis flatiron.
