A review and giveaway of the whole Clairol Pro Care and Styling line!

Someone recently asked me what I use on my hair for products that aren’t “designer” label. I told them a few that I’ve used and liked and now I can add the newest Clairol Pro Care and Styling line to the list.  This new line of hair products from Clairol is formulated with their featuring PRO4PLEX: Pro Technology, Pro Grade, Pro Results, and Pro Heritage, to provide color safe professional products at an affordable price.  The line includes three hair formula types; Repair, Smooth and Curl.  I’ve been testing and rotating out each formula for a few weeks now and for my hair type the Repair formula using the daily shampoo and rinse-off conditioner works best for me.  Below is a chart showing the different products for different hair types and the styling products; a Shaping Gel and Volumizing Mousse.

CARE
• REPAIR: Ideal for dry, damaged hair. Helps smooth to repair and condition dry, damaged hair and replenishes moisture to leave hair strong and conditioned with incredible shine.
• SMOOTH: Ideal for frizzy hair. Fights frizz and sleeks hair even after one application and leaves it shiny and smooth.
• CURL: Ideal for naturally curly hair. Gives curls amazing shine and definition.

STYLING:
• VOLUME MOUSSE: Provides extra strong hold, giving fullness and body for all day volume.
• SHAPING GEL: Holds, defines and accentuates any style, while washing out easily.

I have a lot of hair, but it is baby fine, so the Smooth formula was a bit too much for my hair, but if you have thick or dry hair that would be great for you. I also liked the Curl formula – I didn’t find it to be too heavy and it gave my waves in my hair a bit more oomph.  The Shaping Gel works great for styling and actually holding the style, too.  All of the products have a nice scent to them – each formula and styling product slightly different from each other and not to heavily perfumed, which I like.  Some hair product lines I can’t use because of the scent and how it irritates my scalp – not so with Clairol Pro.  Be sure to check out and “Like” the Clairol Facebook Page for great hair tips, images and info and you may find hair tips and trends from their Celebrity Stylist Brand Ambassadors Torsten Witte and Kiyah Wright.
