Avon has now joined in on the mineral makeup explosion.   I’ve been using the Smooth Minerals Blush in the Blushing Mauve and Rose shades.   The rose shade is a neutral pink tone and the Blushing Mauve is a more deep shade of pink, although still wearable on fair skin.   Remember, all mineral makeup looks really dark when it’s loose in the jar but when you apply it, it typically is much lighter than you think it will be.

As I’ve mentioned before, I personally am not a huge fan of mineral foundations, but I do like mineral blushes.   They blend well, and have a tiny bit of shimmer to them, which can be beautiful on drier skin to give it a nice glow.  

The blush is made from pure mineral pigments and enhanced with vitamins.  It’s free of talc, oil and fragrance, and at only $10 it’s well worth it!

The Smooth Minerals Lipstick with SPF 15 is just that – very smooth!  It is incredibly creamy and moisturizing.   In fact today when running errands, every once and awhile I’d smack my lips together just to feel the creaminess on my lips.   When hopping in and out of my car and checking the mirror, I noticed that  it stays put for a long time and I love the fact it has SPF 15.  I’ve been wearing the Malted Mineral shade, which looks very dark in the tube for my fair skin.  But actually it’s a nice brownish shade that works with yellow toned skin nicely, even as fair as my skin is.  Great for a “natural” look.   $8.00   The lipstick is made with nourishing shea butter and conditioning oils. 

I highly recommend both of these products, and at these prices they can’t be beat!   They definitely fit the “Beauty on a Budget” buy.
