Yes, by nature I think most women are more nurturing. But just because we’re nurturing by nature doesn’t mean we can’t be more. We are more. I’m not one to get on a mountain top and proclaim “women rule”! I’m more of the mindset that any of us, man or woman, can be anything we want and that all of us should be allowed to pursue our dreams. Yes, it hasn’t historically been that way and for many of us we watched our mothers feel unfulfilled and not worthy. But what happened in their generation allowed us to see there is more and to pave the way for those of our generation and future generations.
No one ever said it would be easy and at times we question ourselves and even feel like giving up. How about instead we all support each other and lift each other up to get us through those difficult times so we can get on that mountain top and instead say “I can do that”! Think of how great the world would be if we could do that instead.
Possibly your dream has been to be a stay at home mom, or have a high powered career, maybe working part time. Whatever your dream may be, you are never too old and it is never too late to pursue what’s in your heart. Live your best life. You deserve it!
