It’s that time of year when some days are chilly enough to slip on a sweater and other days to plan ahead for the winter to see what sweater will work best. We all love a good sweater, right? These are some of my favorites that I’ve found this season – clockwise.
An unstructured cardigan is one of those pieces that are easy to slip on at a moments notice to put an outfit together or when you want something soft and cozy this one by Vince Camuto is great to wrap around yourself in comfort.
Not really a sweater, not really a jacket either, but this pullover by Lucy is an alternative to wear other than to your workout. Put away the hoodie sweatshirt and look more polished when running errands by slipping this cute pullover on. The collar and the two-tone design make it quite stylish.
Need a dressier sweater? This structured sweater from Ann Taylor is a great piece that will take you from workday to weekend. I like how they show it with a skirt for the workday, but slip a button down shirt on underneath (with shirttails out), roll up the sleeves a bit and slip on a pair of jeans and all of the sudden you are ready for meeting the girls for a drink.
Nothing says warmth and coziness like a cable knit sweater and this one from Emerson Fry is a must-have on those days when we hit below zero here in MN. I’ve heard there may be quite a few of those coming up again this year so I want to be prepared. Wear it with a skirt and leggings and boots or top it with your jeans to take you from a casual Friday look to a weekend look.
Eileen Fisher is celebrating their 30th Anniversary and in doing so they brought back some of their original pieces and modernized them a bit in a collection called “The Icons”. This sweater coat caught my eye. Simple, classic styling and easy to layer other sweaters underneath. Perfect for those cool nights where it isn’t quite winter yet. It runs a little large so you may need to go down a size.

I want that sweater coat!!! 🙂
That Emerson Fry turtleneck has been on my list since I first saw it…and gasped!!!
