Fab Over Forty_NUMARI

Are you like me and nearly every worthwhile piece of clothing you own you have tailored in some way to fit your body? I’ve always been a big proponent of buying clothing that looks good, but tailoring it to look great. I recently discovered NUMARI, a fashion tech start up that has customized clothing for women! How fabulous is this bit of personalization!

How NUMARI works is that you select the fabric, the color, the dress and sometimes the sleeve length to create a custom dress just for you.  Not only do you get to select these things, you send them YOUR measurements, not some measurement that says you are a size such-and-such, but your specific measurements and the dress is made to your specifications.

NUMARI was founded by two women, Komal Kushalraj and Arti Anand, who were both consultants always looking for those go-to stylish and comfortable pieces that would fit well. However, like so many other women they both had their own fit issues and always had a hard time finding garments that fit and flatter.

NUMARI was born out of their own personal frustration with the existing standard sized apparel and trouble finding perfectly tailored garments.

Their existing collection is designed by Bert Keeter who is a celebrity designer out of LA and was one of the top 5 contestants on the popular show “Project Runway”. They decided to design dresses when they did their initial market research they found that dresses are one of the most desired garment because they are in some ways a complete outfit and also the hardest to find when it comes to fit.  To find out more about these fabulous women and NUMARI, check out their online magazine En Route
