Like everyone, I too have a very busy lifestyle which doesn’t leave me much time to spend on my hair. Unlike many people though, I have very thin, fine hair which makes it even more difficult to style. It can become very frustrating maintaining a style and oftentimes I end up putting it up in a pony. It’s quick, I feel like it takes the pressure off of me to always have my hair “done”. However, there are times when I want to do more than that, but I also want my time and effort that I put into my hair to last.
I was recently introduced to the Kerastase Volumifique line, which I was told would be perfect for my type of hair. Kerastase sent me to see Benjamin at the Très Jolie Salon in the uptown area of Minneapolis to have him try out the newly reformulated Kerastase Volumifique products on my hair. Not only did I have a fun time, Benjamin was very educating on the products and the end result was très fabulous!

Here is my hair after using the Kerastase Volumifique products, which now are infused with cationic polymers that absorb into the hair fibers making hair full without feeling heavy. The new ingredients also add shine, more volume and additional ingredients to provide a long lasting hold to the style. First Benjamin used the Kerastase Volumifique Shampoo and then rinsed my hair with the Gelée Volumifique. After the shampoo and rinse, he then sprayed my hair throughout with the Spray Volumifique and used the Mousse Volumifique before styling.
The Volumifique Gelee is fantastic and didn’t leave my hair sticky at all! My hair felt more plump and overall it has a total weight and density to it that almost made it seem like I was wearing a wig.
Benjamin showed me some great techniques on how to apply the product, combine the product and take advantage of getting a day or two out of the initial application and styling. The only sad part of the experience was that I couldn’t purchase any of it that day and take it home with me. I’m sure I’ll be standing in line with the rest of the girls who have seen it used on their hair.
