Another of the new shades in the Lancome Color Design Eye Shadow Palettes is called Plum Splendor. As explained previously, these palettes come with 5 shades that cover all the bases for creating numerous eye looks. The shadows come in matte, shimmer and highly shimmer shades that can take you from day to night.  

The palette Plum Splendor shades are in a soft pink matte, a rose gold with plum undertones with a soft shimmer, a dark taupe plum shimmer shade, a lavender rose high shimmer and a black liner. With each palette you receive a how-to for day and night time looks that can be created with the palette. I chose to create the day look, but with using a lighter hand on the darker shades.

Step 1.  Apply the pink neutral matte shade #1 all over eye from lash line to brow using a large fluffy brush.

Step 2.  Apply the #2 shade of rose/gold onto the lid with a flat lay-down brush. I went slightly above the crease.  As you can see, this palette is a bit more shimmery than the Peach Opulence shadows.

Step 3.  Take a fluffy crease brush and apply shadow #3, the dark taupe/plum shimmer and apply to the outer corner of the eye, bringing it up to the lower side of the brow bone, just above  the crease of the eye.  Blend well.

Step 4.  With remaining shadow #3 on the brush, bring it under the eye to soften the lower lash line.

Step 5.   Wet a flat or angled brush for lining the eye.  Drag it along the shade #5 or the black shadow and press it into the lash line.  I then took the brush when it was dry and went over the lash line and slightly above to soften the look of the liner on the upper lash line.

Step 6.  Top with loads of mascara – both upper and lower lash lines.
