We talk about a lot of things to look our best here at Fab Over 40, but most of the questions I hear from readers is about hair. Should I wear it long or short, should I get layers, should I wear bangs? But what we oftentimes don’t think about is that our hair can age much like our skin can and we need to change up not only our hair styles, but how we take care of our hair.

Several months ago before the product was available to the public I got to speak to the makers of Pantene about this new line of Age Defy and I was excited for it to become available because of all the research that went into this line of hair care and that finally a product was targeted for people over 40 and their hair issues.
Our hair is one of the first things people notice on us, so taking care of our hair to look its best is important. It’s one of the reasons I do spend a lot of money on a good cut and color. But I trust Pantene to help those cuts and color look their best. Pantene Age Defy is gentle enough to use every day and even on colored hair. I like how it doesn’t weigh down my hair and helps it to look great. Since Pantene Age Defy came out, I have been using the shampoo, conditioner and the Age Defy Advanced Thickening Treatment. I’ve even noticed that the shampoo bottle has migrated over to Mr. Fab’s side of the shower – he tells me he loves this shampoo. I like the conditioner as well because it doesn’t weigh down the hair, yet it makes it feel soft and touchable. After I wash and condition, I spray several squirts of the Age Defy Advanced Thickening Treatment in my hand and work it into the scalp. It’s that easy. It works on either wet or dry hair – I typically use it on wet hair. I’ve asked my hair stylist if he thinks my hair is thinning and he said absolutely not. So with that in mind I’m going to keep on using the Advanced Thickening Treatment to keep it that way!

What makes me Fierce and Fabulous at 40 is that I put my life on the back burner and accomplished something amazing for my son. He was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder in 2007. We saw no improvements with conventional treatment over the years. I spent the past year researching in my spare time, and found a recovery protocol that works for him. He’s made huge strides through bio-therapy, and is now main-stream integrated at school. I couldn’t be prouder.
