Last fall Dior reformulated their Nude foundation to be lighter/more natural and to have some light reflecting pigments to give the skin a bit more glow. Since then, they’ve added a few more items to the Dior Nude collection, a powder foundation and a BB Cream.
To be honest I was quite surprised they call this a BB Cream – we’re so used to BB Creams having a high SPF formulation in them, and this only has a 10, but it is a broad spectrum, which is more important in protection than just an SPF with only a UVB or UVA singularly. So how does it cover? I love the coverage. It’s light, but it gives coverage – a very natural look. It doesn’t have that “white” face effect that high SPF content foundations have and it’s not slick or oily feeling at all. It’s actually quite beautiful coverage, and on oily skin like mine as well. It comes in 4 shades.
The other new Nude piece that I really, really like is the powder compact. It comes with a brush, a 2 sided sponge – one side is smooth and the other side a little bit more textured for your choice of application. I prefer the brush for touch-ups, but for full application I use a flat tipped powder foundation brush. It gives beautiful coverage – feels like silk and is not heavy or powdery in the least bit. I may have to call this my favorite powder foundation of all time. Below are some more images.
