With so many wonderful summer bronzers, I had to change this from my typical “5 Fab Finds” to “8 Fab Finds”. Bronzers are the perfect, safe way to get that summer glow and here are Fab Over 40’s favorite summer bronzers.
Top row L-R
Bobbi Brown – A classic matte bronzer is a great go-to bronzer available in seven shades so nearly every skin tone can add a touch of summer to their skin. Matte bronzers also work well for contouring the face. $35
Chanel – Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Powder. This limited edition bronzer is shown in Sable Beige, but is also available in Sable Rose for those who like a bit more pink. The multi-shade compact allows for a dimensional glow rather than a flat shade, offering a softer, warmer and slightly shimmered glow to the face. $60
Chantecaille – Compact Soleil – This paraben free bronzer is available in only three shades but St. Barth’s is my personal favorite shade. Not too dark, not too orange, but a super lightweight texture gives a nice soft warm, slightly shimmery healthy glow. $45
Middle row L-R
29 Cosmetics – Napa Glow Grape Seed Age Protecting Bronzer – The name says a lot, it has anti-aging ingredients so not only is it giving you a healthy glow, it’s keeping your skin healthy, too. Available in two shades, the Terracotta offers a mid-tone summer glow for fair to medium toned skin. $36
Pixi – Lumi Lux Radiance Powder in No. 1 Peach Petal – While this isn’t labeled a bronzer, the multi-dimensional shades offer a soft, pretty and summery glow to the very fair skinned. Fair skin can look rather harsh with a bronzer, so this adds a bit of warmth and color without screaming “bronzer”! Available at Target for $26.
Bottom row L-R
Dior – Diorskin Nude Glow Sun Powder Bronzer – Newly reformulated and newly packaged in a gorgeous silver cannage compact. Its lightweight formula created with energized water and Mineral Prism technology gives the skin a beautiful, soft glow. Available in 6 shades, three of which are lighter for wearability year-round and 3 are darker for summertime. $52
Laura Mercier – Copper Glow Veil – Like a cream formula? This limited edition bronzer blends beautifully to add shimmer and warmth and that “I just spent my summer in Capri” look. Easy to blend with fingers or brush. $35
Physicians Formula – Summer Eclipse – This duo-toned golden and bronze compact adds a little shimmer and a lot of summer goodness to the skin. A deep warm tan can be achieved with this and certainly the price can’t be beat at less than $13.

Super variety! I think I’m going to give the Laura Mercier cream formula a try because I’m best at blending with a clean finger tip. Thanks!!
Ooo…the collage of bronzers is gorgeous. I’d love to be locked in a room with all of those babies!! Kari, do you have a favorite one of these?
In the winter when I’m super pale I like the Pixi one. But the rest of the year the two I probably would call my go-to ones are the Chantecaille and 29 Cosmetics… or Bobbi – It’s a good toss up and rotation! The Chantecaille one is very silky and probably has a notch above the others. Such decisions…!
