Having a great makeup bag helps keep your beauty organized and life so much simpler. But, instead of a boring black bag inside your dark handbag or suitcase or whatever – have a little fun! Now, I’ve seen makeup bags for several hundreds of dollars, which I think is crazy unless you use it as a clutch and not a makeup bag. Here are a few of my fabulous finds that I think are functional and fun!
1. Stephanie Johnson Alana Clutch in the Bora Bora print. $32. With a multi-colored print on the outside and green lining inside and only 1 1/2″ deep, it won’t hold the bulky things, but perfect to fit in a large handbag or in your desk.
2. Stephanie Johnson Jumbo Zip in Kenya Aqua print. $33. This bag is large enough to hold shampoos and lotions, and to bring out your wild side. Animal print trimmed in an aqua will grab everyone’s attention!
3. Chantecaille Le Voyage Travel bag. $45. A train case in a fun, bright purple shade is sure to hold all your necessities and then some. No need to hide this in a drawer.
4. Sonia Kashuk Weekender. $24.99. This fun, vibrant print bag has great zippered compartments that fit inside. No need to take tacky zippy bags when she designed this to keep powders separate from liquids with the plastic clear compartments. I personally own this and take it on weekend trips or extended vacations. It holds it all and keeps it organized.
5. Kate Spade Patchin Place – on sale for $40. Who doesn’t love pink and polkadots? This is such an attention-getter that all your friends will be jealous when you take your lipstick out of this bag! This is a bag that regulary sells for $80 and now is on sale for $40. It’s clear vinyl coated to protect the fun print.
