Fabulous Over Forty – Where Beauty Is Ageless

Flirt Cosmetics has these great new Halloween looks you can create with their makeup.  What fun are these!   Going to a Halloween party?   Or if you’re like me, I’ll be answering the door for the little tricks or treaters this year.   But in the past, my girlfriend and I would take our boys out around the neighborhood with our “mommy’s special cup” in tow and have a blast while they got all kinds of candy.   Now I notice more and more parents doing the same in our neighborhood – only some of the parents are now dressing up too and these looks would be fun ones to try!

This color everywhere look of Rainbow Bright is created by using a lot of colorful mascara Big FlirtTM Thickening mascar in Real Teal or Violet Vixen.  On the eyes use color-rich hues like Dreamy Eyes Glamourazzi 20 and Limited Edition Aztec Aqua 58 on the eyelids.  For the cheeks use Peek-A-Blush in Pink Tutu 21 and for the lips use Glamourazzi Extreme Lip Laquer in Va Va Voom 12.

The Sexy Cat look is created by creating a cat eye with Flirt! Opening Eye Liner in Blackout .  For a dramatic smoky cat eye look blend Dreamy Eyes eye shadow in Wild Night from lashline to crease.  Add a shimmery highlight in Dreamy Eyes Eyeshadow in Chill Out and of course add thick eye lashes with Big Flirt! Thickening Mascara.   For the cheeks use Peek-A-Blush in All Dolled Up 23 on the apples of the cheeks and for the lips keep them nude with Squeeze Me Super Shiny Gloss in Heavenly Honey  03.

With vampires EVERYWHERE this year – try the Vampiress look by lining the upper and lower eye with Look of Love Eye pencil in Tipoff or Purple Rain and smudge with your fingertips.  Layer Dreamy Eyeshadow in Ink Spell 42 and Magic Mist 30 from lashline to crease.  Skip the blush and bronzer and instead apply Flirt!’s Love and Matteness Oil Free Pressed Powder in a shade or two lighter than your skin.  And top the lips with Flirt! High Wattage Intense & Creamy Lipcolor in Wicked.

I recently spent time at Kohls with the lovely Dina to learn more about the beauty lines available there.

American Beauty is the most expansive of the lines – offering a full range of makeup and skin care.  You may recognize the name and the spokeswoman, Ashley Judd, as I have spoken about some of the products previously.  The color line offers a great range of products.  In fact, Dina used the mineral foundation and eye shadow duo in Gilded Violets - on my eyes and Ultra-Easy Automatic Eyeliner in Mocha.  On my cheeks she applied Perfect Mineral Loose Powder in Mocha Crystal and on my lips she used a pretty shade of Sweettart in the Moisture Rich Lipstick. 

The cosmetic line Flirt! is a line I think of targeted toward the younger sect for some reason.   But, there are many beautiful shades of lip colors and eye palettes that are definitely worth giving a look – all at a reasonable price.

These Limited Edition Eyes Rock Dreamy palettes are only $16.99 regular price – a great value.  And the Lash-a-Delic mascara gives you dreamy thick, full, long lashes, wrapping your lashes in a tube-style coverage.
