The Body Shop has a new certified organic skin care line called Nutriganics created to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.   Right now they have their semi-annual skin care sale going on – buy 2 products, get one free.  This line is suited for those who want to keep their skin free from chemicals and preservatives.

Here is tester Dawn’s review of Nutriganics Products.

I have been using the complete, 6 piece set of products for approximately 2 ½ weeks.  It took a bit of convincing myself, but I actually do like the products.  I have rather large facial pores.  After using the products I have noticed a big change in the appearance of the pores on and around my nose. They have all but disappeared.  Typically, by noon I have an oily shine on my forehead. This too has disappeared.  It took about 3 days of using the product to convince myself that I needed to continue using them in order to give them a fair trial.  The thing that made me want to turn back was the unpleasant smell, mostly of the toner.  I’m sure, since theses are organic products; there is no “perfume” scent in them that we are all so used to.  If you’re planning to entice someone to your bedroom, save the bedtime facial ritual, for later!

All in all, I still would give these products a pretty good rating.   Another plus of the product is the packaging.  I love the pump style.  They are all easy to use.  If I had to give it a rating between 1 and 10, I’d say a good 7 to 8.  I’ve never used all natural products before so I really don’t have much to compare it to.

The Foaming Facial Wash comes out in a foam (as the name would indicate).  When you wash your face with it, it actually feels like a mild scrub.  There’s almost a dry feeling to it.  It doesn’t just skim over your face, but rather forces you to gently scrub your skin.

The Refreshing Toner, which is the worst smelling of all the products, gives you a clean fresh feel.  You can feel it closing up those pores.

I used the Soothing Eye Cream every night under the Smoothing Night Cream and again in the morning under the Smoothing Day Cream.  I haven’t said, “WOW, my wrinkles are gone”, but any extra moisture I can use in that area is always a bonus.  The Night Cream is very thick and packs on the moisture.  It doesn’t feel at all greasy like some night creams do.  Very natural feeling and it goes a long way.  The Day Cream has a silky texture to it and feels good under my makeup.

The set also comes with a Smoothing Serum.  I have used this on my neck, eye area and around my mouth.  Again, in 2 ½ weeks I haven’t seen any “WOW” changes but it does feel good.

The only suggestion I would have for the manufacturer of this product would be to figure out how you can get the toner to smell better.
