Recently I received a copy of the book Skin Rules: Trade Secrets from a Top New York Dermatologist, by Debra Jaliman, MD. I wasn’t sure quite what to expect, but I was thrilled when I started reading the book. Why? Several reasons. It’s in an easy to read format – each chapter quickly and easily answers a skin care question – such as not only that we should wash our faces before going to bed and when waking up, but why and suggests products that range from drug store to department store. All this in a quick few paragraphs making it easy to read.
What I also like about the book, although Dr. Jaliman has her own skincare line, she’s not promoting it as the only option to use – she’ll suggest other brands of skincare items like Aveeno to DDF and Clarins and many more. She also shares with us truthful, realistic approaches to skin treatments – what to expect, what they can do for you and what to avoid having done because it just doesn’t work as well as another procedure may work.
This is one of those books that everyone who has any question about skin care in any form should own. It’s a reference guide that is simple to read, has believable answers and discusses everything from everyday questions to the more complicated ponderings about procedures available to chose from.

Ugh! You got a copy already?! Lucky you, I have pre-ordered Skin Rules and am anxiously waiting for it. Thank you for your review, I am more excited now!
You will love it! It’s so easy to read and straight to the point etc.
