I am not one into having a nightly ritual of taking a bath, so when I do take the time for a bath I make it special. I like my salts, my oils, my creams and of course a candle lit by the tub. I lock the door so no one will bother me and turn the lights down low and completely unwind.
I transport my body and mind to a relaxed, stress free state with Poetry Bath Intimate Ritual, The products help me create that special spa-like bath time. There are two formulations of the products – Verse 1is a citrus fragrance with notes of bergamot, sandalwood and jasmine and Verse 2 is a potent scent of mint and balsam needle with a hint of grapefruit. Samples of Verse 1 were sent to me to review.
Poetry Bath products take you through the steps:
- Light the Alight candle
- Turn on the music from Bathysphere CD
- Dissolve the Immersion Therapy bath salts into the warm water
- Exfoliate your skin with Poetry Sand body scrub
- Gently towel off and apply Vellum body oil to moisten the skin
- Stay moisturized with Poetry Bath Creme
I enjoy the Alight soy candle more than just at the tub. In fact, today I decided to cut some pretty flowers from my garden and place them on my desk and I have my Alight candle lit, too. The aroma is heavenly. We can make our surroundings special in so many ways and these two little things add so much.
The Immersion Therapy aromatic bath salts are lovely and make my skin so soft. Made with essential oils, jojoba and milk to soften the skin.
Sand (I love that name!) is made from Turbinado sugar (a natural brown sugar) with jojoba and essential oils. These crystal-like beads gently, but effectively remove the dead skin cells from your body. We tend to exfoliate our faces regularly, but forget that the rest of our body needs this as well. It keeps your skin youthful and allows moisture to absorb better.
Vellum is a body oil made with jojoba and essential oils. If you have not ever tried a body oil and are turned off thinking you will become and “oil slick”, think again. Vellum is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving is soft and supple.
You could stop after Vellum, but if you want the softness to linger, add Creme to hold in the moisture. You can use this throughout the day as well.
