If you know me, you know I have a love for the L’Occitane Hand Lotion.   My husband who is typically creeped out by lotions in general (if I ever want to “get back at him” I find the greasiest lotion ever and put a big glop of it on my hand and rub it into his arm!) he really likes the L’Occitane lotion as well.

L’Occitane is known for their beautiful French soap and luxurious product, so I was excited to get this L’Occitane Creme Masque from the rep to try out.  It’s from their Immortelle line for mature skin, which the essential oils in this are from the Immortelle flower.   immortelle20021This flower is known as the “everlasting flower” as it retains its color and beauty when picked and dried.  It supposedly contains the “secret to eternal youth” according to L’Occitane – now that would be nice as we all are searching for that!

But here’s what I can tell you about how it worked for me.   I use this mask once a week – it can be used once or twice, depending on how dry you are.  Even though my skin has been oily on the surface this summer (that’s another story!) my skin is still dry, but of course with the oily surface I was really hesitant that it would irriate or be too oily.   That is not the case.   I put a layer on my face and leave it for 10 minutes.    If  there’s any remaining just wipe it off with a tissue.   When I use this my skin feels incredibly soft, not greasy in the least bit, my face looks fresh and smooth as silk.   I was pleasantly surprised at this wonderful mask was on my face.  But then again I shouldn’t have been, it’s L’Occitane after all.   I will definitely purchase this – a small .5 oz jar goes a long way and it’s only$8.
