Liz Earle Cleanser Review

I’ve been on the search for a fabulous face cleanser. I’ll be telling you about my cleansing oil experiment in the future, but for now I wanted a non-oil face cleanser. I’ve tried going the cheap and dermatologist recommended way of Cetaphil, but my skin hates it. It told me so. So after speaking with the Liz Earle rep about their line and what I had been going through with cleansers, she suggested I try the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser for my face.
I like the fact that it has many natural ingredients. If you go to the website, it tells you the ingredients and their purpose of each ingredient, so you know things aren’t thrown in there nilly-willy. Sometimes things with too many natural products in them are actually very irritating to my skin. Not the Liz Earle products I’ve used, they are actually soothing and refreshing
This cleanser fits into the refreshing category. When pumping one or two pumps into your hand, you’ll notice this isn’t necessarily a cream, nor is it a foam and it certainly isn’t a gel. Nope, this is the first time I’ve ever experienced using a foamy cream! If that makes sense. It truly is like a combination of both. The second thing you notice is the invigorating and refreshing scent of eucalyptus. It’s not so strong that it’s off-putting, but fresh enough to feel like your skin is awake and your sinuses have been opened a bit.
The texture of this works great when I use my Clarisonic (a big requirement of mine!) and it comes with a set of 2 muslin cloths in the starter kit. If not using my Clarisonic, there really is nothing better than a simple muslin cloth to exfoliate and cleanse your face with. Use the cloth with hot water and then after you’ve washed off the cleanser with the hot cloth, rinse your face in cool water.
Prices start at $21.50 and you can get this in varying prices and combinations of different size cleansers and with or without the cloths, but I highly recommend the cloths. Would I use this again? Absolutely! I’ve never experienced any irritation, breakouts or redness and it works great at getting off makeup and dirt. Unlike the dermatologist recommended brand.
